    Description

This is an original WWII era issue of THE 957 NEWS which was the newspaper for US military personnel in the APO 957 area which was Oahu, Hawaii and I believe the Schofield Barracks area and a main headquarters area for the Central Pacific Area CPA command during WWII.  This newspaper served both Army and Navy personnel.  This is the November 26, 1943 issue which is Volume 1, No. 6.  This newspaper is 8 pages measuring about 16" x 11" per page.
This issue has a photo of boxer Joe Louis and coverage of other sports teams along with other wartime news, pinup girl photos and content of interest to those serving in the APO 957 area during WWII.
This is an original issue of the The 957 News from WWII and a great piece of WWII and Hawaii history.   The title of this paper was later changed to The Redlander.   The paper is toned from age and some wear on the edges.  There is a light trace of staining visible on the edge of a few pages but overall condition is good.  Please see my other auctions for similar items.  Email any questions.  Thanks for looking.
