    Description

    Maroon berets are worn by militaries worldwide to designate elite paratroopers with an easily recognizable headgear.
    In 1973, US Army airborne/jump qualified paratroopers were authorized to wear the maroon beret.
    This 48 year-old beret was among the very first issued in 1973.  Unit flash and crest are HHC 1/504th Parachute Infantry Regiment.
    Condition is good, but a couple of moth holes as seen in photos.
