Excellent Piece - Footprint of the American Chicken
This piece, showing a period Peace Symbol was worn by both US Air Force Crews on Hanoi Bombing Missions and US Helicopter Pilots and Crew.
The symbol, a Peace Symbol also reflects the shape of the B-52 Stratofortress Bombers that lay siege to Hanoi, North Vietnam, The Ho chi Minh Trail, Laos and elsewhere and also symbolic of the US Attack Helicopter.
The symbol was sometimes referred to as "Ain't Nothing but a Thang" showing contempt for danger on entering or preparing for battle.
