Description

A nice medal.  The Arch de Triomphe in Paris on the obverse.  The newspaper was started in 1943 by French exiles to promote in America the cause of General Charles de Gaulle's French Resistance in Occupied France.  Today it is a monthly magazine.  This medal probably dates from the post-war era, but as there is no date I do not know when.  32mm (1.25"), gilt, cartwheel luster on both sides and DMPL Deep Mirror Prooflike reflectivity on both sides.  8502
