Vintage Large Malmaison Serving Tray With Handles by Christofle, Paris

For sale is gorgeous vintage silver plated tray by Christofle of Paris.
Size 25" x 16" x 1”
The design is from the "Malmaison" collection which was inspired by the French Empire style of the early nineteenth century. "Malmaison" line incorporates strict and linear design. This series of sophisticated silver products picks up popular motifs from that period such as the stylistic arrangements of palm leaves and lotus flowers. Another famous characteristic of the Empire style is the so-called palmette border composed of the tips of palm leaves. Originally introduced in the 1960's.
The signature of the famous silversmith Christofle can be found on underside of both handles.
Tray needs a repair, one side of the handle needs soldering. Otherwise it is in very good used condition, no dings or dents but some scratches on the tray. Please see pictures for more details. Selling as is
